Access to Baker Hot Springs is easy, so they are
quite popular--what they lack in quality is made up for by the ease of getting
there. Any car can make it all the way to the trailhead and from there it can't
be more than 200 yards to the soaking pool. The drive will be a challenge if
there is snow on the road--a distinct possibility in the winter months.
The soaking pool is large but not very deep and the bottom is a little muddy.
The hot water seeps up from below and the pool is warm but not hot. It is a
user-built pool and may be big or small depending on recent construction work.
It is a pleasant hike and you soak surrounded by greenery.
The easy accessibility means that church youth groups, scout packs and all variety of people may descend upon the pool at any time. Be sure to wear a swim suit!
